What is done to my parts?

All parts coming into Brightside Engineering need prepping. The prepping process varies for different pieces and every piece is handled in the appropriate manner for the customer’s part(s). The key factor for powder coating is all part(s) need to be brought down to bare substrate to achieve maximum adhesion on the part. The part could be media blasted, chemically stripped or mechanically cleaned to achieve a perfectly cleaned part to be coated. Like any paint process, it’s all in the preparation! The better the prep, the better the finished product, and the longer it will stay that way! We strive for quality and nothing leaves our hands till were 100% satisfied.
We’ll have our clients that say “My part is brand new, it needs little work”. Not True. All parts require similar treatment and will be priced accordingly. There is very little difference in bringing a new part compared to a part that is well worn. They both need similar prep and they both need to be brought down to bare substrate materials.
